  • How Do I Remove The "Demo" Message?


    If you keep receiving the "Demo" message even after you have purchased Partitions and entered the serial number then you will need to follow the instructions below very carefully.
    The process may seem a little daunting at first but it really is an easy process and I will show you step by step. Before you get started you will need to make sure that you have a "Property List Editor". You should already have an application for this because one comes pre-installed on Macs since 2006.
    However if you do not have the free one that comes with your Mac then you will need to download one from the internet. (NOTE: You will not have to purchase it for this exercise as the demo version will work just fine)

    You can download a Property List Editor from the following sources:

    *** MAKE SURE THAT RAPIDWEAVER IS COMPLETELY CLOSED DOWN BEFORE PROCEEDING ***

    Step 1 -


    Navigate to the following directory: user/Library/Preferences


    Step 2 -

    Make sure your Finder is in "List" mode to make it easier to find the files (NOTE: Notice the image below)

    Step 3 -

    Find the 2 files like in the image above and drag and drop them into the trash can. If you only have one of the plugins installed then you will only see one of these two files.

    Step 4 -

    Next you will need to click ONCE on the file that you see in the image below:

    Right click on it or Control (ctrl) click it to bring up a contextual menu like the image below:

    Choose the property list editor of your choice to open the file. (NOTE: I am using PlistEditPro from the link provided at the top of the page)


    Step 5 -

    When the application opens up you will want to scroll down until you see the line that begins with "Partitions" and then just click on it one time and hit delete on your keyboard.
    You should do the same if you are having problems with the Styled Text+ page as well.

    Step 6 -

    You will need to completely close out of and then restart RW for the changes to take effect.

    Thats it you should be all good to go.
